Frequently Asked Questions

I crafted this FAQ section to provide you with information that you may find helpful in your search for wedding photography services in Mallorca and other countries.

I am all about clarity and transparency so here you can find the answers to the most common questions of my clients.

Why is wedding photography important?

Where are you based?

I may be biased here, but I consider wedding photography highly valuable. It conveys the emotions, joy, and unique moments that can be cherished and shared with loved ones for generations to come. If you are a visual person, you surely have an aesthetic that touches your heart in a special way.

If you decide on a photographer that knows how to capture and edit your wedding photos in a way you find visually pleasing and satisfying - you will be always happy with the choice you’ve made.

The photographs help the memories last. This is the simplest truth. I deeply believe that a photographer’s job is incredibly important and impactful.

My home by choice is Mallorca. I am Polish and my husband & I decided to take our daughters to live in a Mediterranean country in 2021. We want them to grow up in an international community, explore nature, and try to improve the world. Mallorca gives us these possibilities.

As Mallorca is a big Spanish island, there are direct flights to almost any destination. I am always happy to travel to accompany you and your partner on your wedding day.

Do you offer destination wedding photography?

What languages do you speak?

Definitely. I love to travel and I am happy to join you for a journey whenever your dreams take you. One of the many benefits of living in Mallorca is that in 2 hour - flight I can be in France, Greece, or Italy.

I speak English, Spanish & Polish.

What type of photography do you offer?

What is your photography style?

I am mainly a wedding photographer. This is what I enjoy most.

But I also do family and business shoots.

My approach is a blend of photojournalism and artistic vision, ensuring that every detail, every glance, and every heartfelt smile is authentically documented.

I believe in creating visual narratives that transport you back to that cherished moment.

The photos I craft for you are bright and joyful, full of emotions. Some people would call this photography style fine art or editorial. I would say it is a timeless & sophisticated style.

What is included in a package?

How to plan a destination wedding in Mallorca?

My wedding photography package is designed to provide you with a complete and tailored experience. The specific inclusions may vary depending on the add - ons you choose, but typically the service includes a certain number of hours of coverage, a second photographer, high-resolution digital images, an online gallery for viewing and sharing, a print release rights. Some packages may also include albums, prints, or additional services.

Without a doubt, Mallorca is a breathtaking destination for couples seeking a magical setting for their wedding day. There is a wealth of stunning locations to choose from.

Depending on your needs and preferences you can decide on hiring a wedding planner (there are a lot of great ones on the island, you can contact me for recommendations) but you can also be the one in charge and arrange everything on your own. It is completely your call.

To ensure that you remember to plan all the most important wedding parts - consult this post.

How many images will we get?

What is your pricing?

Typically, I curate 60-80 final images per hour of coverage.

Over the years I’ve learned that every couple has their unique needs. As I do have a standard “dossier”, I am always open to quoting your wedding on an individual basis.

Contact me and I can send you a more specific outline of your investment once I know your needs.

What is the gallery turnaround time?

Do you also offer videography services?

With a passion for details, I carefully curate and present every project.

That being said a turnaround time is usually 8 weeks.

You will be presented with a sneak peek within 48 hours of your wedding day.

Depending on the availability you will also have an option for an express delivery service (should be discussed beforehand).

While my primary focus is wedding photography, I believe in the importance of capturing both still images and dynamic motion, and I can help you coordinate both photography and videography to ensure that all aspects of your wedding are beautifully documented. I can serve you with recommendations.

Are engagement sessions included in the packages?

Do you work with a second shooter?

It depends on the scale of your event. A second shooter is an add-on. Typically my second shooter is my husband who already has 6 years of experience in this field. His field of expertise is beauty & art which provides a unique perspective and eye for detail. Usually, he transitions from shooting the groom’s “getting ready” to pivotal moments like the ceremony, reception decor, cocktail hour, first dance, cake cutting, etc. Depending on the scale of the event, I bring on additional shooters or assistants as needed.

An engagement session is an additional option but as I love to start our joined adventure with this type of photoshoot - I do have a unique offer for the couples that book me for their wedding.

How do I book your services for my wedding?

How early should I book you as my wedding photographer?

Once we’ve met each other (personally or virtually) and we’ve determined your needs, I will prepare and send a photography contract for your review. I ask that you return your signed contract within 5 days to ensure your date remains available. Once I receive your contract and the retainer, your wedding date is officially booked.

The payment plan is discussed during our meeting.

There is no answer to this. I am being booked two years in advance but also two months before the event. As I am often approached by romantics, these people like to be spontaneous when it comes to love. So setting up a wedding day 30 days prior is not uncommon.

Do you require a retainer? If so, how much?

What is your cancellation policy?

Yes, I do require a deposit to secure your wedding date. The retainer amount and payment schedule will be discussed during the booking process and outlined in our contract. The deposit amount typically ranges from 25% to 50% of the total package price, with the remaining balance due before or on the wedding day.

The cancellation policy is outlined in detail in the contract. In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel your wedding or change the date, please notify me as soon as possible. Cancellation policies may vary, but typically the retainer is non-refundable as it serves as compensation for reserving the date and turning down other potential clients.

What type of camera equipment do you use?

What happens if you get sick or have some sort of emergency right before the wedding?

Never in my career have I had this kind of situation but in the event of unlikely & unforeseen circumstances that prevent me from attending your wedding, I will do my best to arrange a replacement photographer of equivalent caliber and style. Alternatively, I would return your full investment and allow you to make your own arrangements if you so choose.

I use professional-grade camera equipment to capture your wedding day. Our gear includes high-resolution Canon cameras, a range of Canon lenses to cover different focal lengths, and additional lighting equipment for low-light or indoor venues.

I always bring camera, lens, and memory card backups, and all of the equipment is regularly serviced to ensure it’s in full working order.

Family photos - how should we prepare for them?

Should I make a list of my desired photos?

I will photograph you with your immediate family members (parents and siblings) and grandparents (if applicable) during “family formals” time. If you have groupings outside of your immediate family - provide these details at least two weeks prior to your wedding so I can schedule the time accordingly.

Please inform me of any important family circumstances.

With this knowledge, I am able to recognize all the meaningful relationships in your life.

As I work closely with you and/ or your wedding planner I am aware of the timeline of your event and I will present you with more photos than you will ever need. But I do recommend bringing to our attention any special guests, planned moments, or unique details (like heirlooms) you’d like to be captured that I might not know to anticipate. On your wedding day, please have the rings, dress, shoes, invitations, and any other decor you’d like in the photos in the bridal suite. I will spend the first hour of the coverage shooting the details and final hair/makeup.

For more preparation tips consult this blog post.

How do you edit the photos and what will we see in our online gallery?

Do you offer fine art wedding albums?

The final images in an online gallery are a curated selection. Omitted images may include unflattering expressions or unintended blur. The final images will be edited in my signature style before I present them in your online gallery. The edition includes color and exposure adjustments, also skin retouches if needed, I do not offer a body alteration edition. My preference is for all images to look natural, clean, and timeless.

You will be able to download your high-resolution (and also low-resolution) photos from the gallery, and also you can share the gallery with your friends & family.

Yes, absolutely! And I adore to prepare them for you. As I am a big fan of beautiful coffee table books - I believe your wedding album should be in your collection of books to enjoy.

You and me - we are working together to prepare the best layout for your wedding album.
