I’m honoured to share that one of Mallorca destination weddings I photographed — the intimate and beautifully refined celebration of Ryan & Shawn in Deià — has been published in Together Journal, a leading international wedding publication known for its curated, design-forward editorials. This feature highlights the essence of Mallorca: its soft light, organic textures, and the effortless elegance that defines weddings on the island.

An Editorial Mallorca Wedding in the Heart of Deia

Nestled between ancient stone houses and the dramatic Tramuntana mountains, Deià is one of the most atmospheric places in Mallorca. Ryan and Shawn chose this village for its quiet, timeless charm — a setting that naturally lends itself to editorial wedding photography.

We began the day at Ca’s Xorc, the intimate hillside hotel where the couple was staying before their celebration. Surrounded by terraced olive groves and soft morning light, we created a series of calm, honest portraits that reflected exactly who they are — connected, beautifully present together.

After our time at Ca’s Xorc, we drove to Belmond La Residencia to meet their guests as they arrived. From the first greetings to the quiet emotional moments that followed, the pace of the day felt slow, intentional, and full of quiet depth — everything Together Journal is known to spotlight.

Capturing Mallorca Through an Editorial Lens

What made this wedding stand out, and ultimately earned its place in Together Journal, was the harmony between modern minimalism and Mallorca’s organic beauty.

Lemons added a natural, sun-kissed palette to the tablescape — simple, bright, effortlessly Mediterranean.

Soft linen textures and delicate greenery created an atmosphere that felt relaxed and refined.

The styling was timeless and editorial: tailored suits, warm neutrals, understated sophistication.

The Tramuntana mountains wrapped the entire day in golden light, creating an unforgettable backdrop.

Working alongside planner Gabina Baltanás from Chill Me Out, ensured everything felt seamless and creatively aligned.

The evening carried a soft warmth, the kind that stays with you long after the celebration ends.

The couple’s closest friends travelled from New York, San Francisco, and China, and the atmosphere during dinner felt like a film: intimate, emotional, glowing.
